Dog Cat Carrier Backpack for Hiking and Urban Carrying – (Ideal for dog/cat below 7kg/15.5lbs)

I ordered the Cat/Dog backpack carrier for my 6 lb Maltese. It really makes traveling so much easier. This is the perfect size for her. It has ventilation on both the top and sides. Making sure she has fresh air and doesn’t get too over heated. There is a tether on the inside, but she didn’t like that as it was so restrictive and caused her a little stress. We did place the carrier on the floor and opened the side so she could go in and out of it while she got used to it. She now gets excited when she see’s it and knows it’s time to go “Bye-Bye”. The shoulder straps are adjustable with a thick padding and easy to wear. There is a zipper pocket on the top flap that you can store treats, water bowl, or litter bags conveniently. There is a large slip in pocket on the front. It does push in on the carrier space, so if you have a pet that is a little larger who needs more space to turn around. It may not be a very usable pocket. Overall this is a nice travel carrier. It does fit under the seat on the airline if you turn it on its side. Just be sure your little guy is short enough for the height or willing to stay lying down.

This is a typical designed backpack that has been converted to a pet carrier. The quality is nice. The The mesh on top amd side is actually vinyl coated which will undoubtedly prolong the life of the mesh. It does ad some rigid as well. The flaps close on top if it starts to sprinkle while you are out walking or jogging woth your furry friend. The two small mesh flaps on the side will allow more ventilation as well. Iy does have a built-in leash to secure your pet from falling out if the mesh is open. Overall this backpack pet carrier is a good value.

I like that this backpack is so lightweight and has many options for opening the mesh windows to allow airflow. The mesh is very durable, my pup was not able to chew through it and he tried. He fit but was definitely on the larger size of growing out of it at 15.8lbs. The padded back fit comfortably even with him squirming around and the straps adjusted easily to fit my shoulders. I will definitely be using this for one of our cats since we have three that are within the 15lbs suggested weight.

Really well made bag here. It says it will hold up to a 15 lb dog, but I don't think a 15 lb dog would be comfortable in this bag due to it kind of has a thin width footprint. We have a 7 lb Yorkie, yes, she eats too many cheeseburgers (healthy dog equivalents) and she fit in just perfectly and after 10 minutes on a test walk, she was one happy camper. This has a nice amount of mesh so that there's a lot of air flowing through, and since our dog likes to look at the landscape anywhere we take her, the mesh on both sides at the bottom of the backpack is perfect for us and she has room to change direction. The shoulder straps are nice and comfortable and the quality of the material is very good. For a larger 15 pounder pup, this would be a hard no but for us and our dog's fit, this is definitely a five-star bag.

I wanted this for my cat, she enjoys being out so I put her in this back pack when I go on walks, It fits her prefectly and she enjoys getting inside of it because she knows what we are about to do. She enjoys looking out while being carried comfortably at the same time.

This is a very nice dog carrier backpack. I've been wanting to get another small dog and it looks like it would do a good job. Have read other reviews regarding fit issues and it being too tall for them to see out of and too short to exit from sides and don't disagree. I would want a cushion at the bottom anyway for comfort and I'm not concerned about the side exit as I would just lift them out. Cats could be another matter entirely; depends on how mellow they are. I've had cats who I believe would handle it well and others who would most definitely not. But they would probably find their way out of the bottom if they are 15 lbs or under. No Maine Coons or my 20+ lb mini-schnauzers. I'm looking to use this backpack to bring my dog with me as I'm out and about and perhaps for vet visits. I don't think of it as a carrier in that I vould not just put it down and leave them in it so I'm not judging it from that perspective.

My dog is 8 lbs and the other is 10 lbs. both dogs can easily turn around and lay down in it. Fits one dog best but two can be crammed into it if necessary. Straps are comfortable on shoulders. Had plenty of air ventilation, and cover snaps closed to keep rain out. It’s made really well.

Got this for my partner's daughter who is bringing her cat to Spain for a year - she is soooo happy with it! She is going to be using it on the plane and for getting around and she loves all the pockets and that it is quite spacious for her kitty to lay and move around a bit. Her last one was destroyed when her cat had a stomach issue so this was a timely find. The backpack is made very well and has plenty of space for a cozy blanket so kitty can travel comfortably. I earned some good points with the kiddo too!

Good size for smaller pets. Keep in mind that the structure of this backpack leaves only a bottom resting spot for your pet of 8” x 13” so if they can’t sit (or lie) down comfortably in that amount of real estate, size up. The mesh used in this pack is larger gauge and doesn’t protect from insects like smaller screen mesh might; keep this in mind when selecting hiking destinations. And the screened in portions of this pack are limited to a higher panel on the front (which might be too high for hunkered down pets to utilize easily) and two relatively narrow end panels (one of which will always be at the non-seeing end of your pet, logistically speaking). Keep an eye on the temperature inside the pack. This would definitely be a cooler weather means of pet transport, I would think. But this pack is well-suited to cool weather hikes for both pet and person. Shoulder straps and back padding are very well done and provide comfortable transport. The shoulder straps have a Molle-type webbing strap sewn down the middle of each that provides loops for attaching/clipping items for easy access and the lower portion of the pack front has a large pocket for additional items to be stowed away. All mesh areas are equipped with cover flaps that secure via adjustable snap-clips - either open or closed, to match the amount of exposure or protection needed. This would also be a bonus for those pets that might be happier with seeing more than with being seen as these can be adjusted to block direct line of sight yet still allow plenty of ventilation. Well done - with caveats. This hiking carrier has a lot to offer, however it’s NOT a one-bag-fits-all item - really great for those pets that match the specs.
